The Wikkelhouse is versatile:
Tiny house, holiday home or glamping
A unique holiday house, luxury camping on a campsite or by the lake, or even as a mobile office for urban working – a Wikkelhouse is whatever you want it to be. With its cosy design and built with high-quality craftsmanship, our small house surrounds you with comfort.
The Swiss Wikkelhouse is built in our own production hall in Flüelen, Switzerland. It is made almost entirely from sustainable, renewable materials such as locally sourced timber. We created the Swiss Wikkelhouse as a place to live, work, play and enjoy life – happily and sustainably.
From holiday home to
multi-family wooden housing
If you’re dreaming of a small mountain chalet, maybe even fully self-sufficient off-grid living, a Wikkelhouse is the perfect solution. But it’s not just for off-gridders anymore – compact living has become a modern way of life. Its sustainable building concept appeals to many and can easily be adapted to your personal lifestyle.
Wikkelhouses can also be linked together, creating space for multiple people. As a wooden garden house or even placed on a rooftop, it works beautifully as a guest room or a dedicated space for hobbies such as painting or music. It can also serve as an inspiring studio for creative work, or as a space for education and day care – for example, playgroups, schools, or cultural projects.
A Wikkelhouse for almost everyone
Tiny houses are increasingly popular across all groups of society: young couples seeking flexible and sustainable living, older people wishing to downsize, companies and investors who want to promote innovative housing solutions. Especially in tourism, events, and wellness, the tiny house concept is in high demand. The Swiss Wikkelhouse fits perfectly into this modern trend – impressing with refined building technology, high comfort, appealing design, and energy efficiency.

A proven concept, redefined to Swiss standards
The original idea and design go back to the first Wikkelhouse, invented in Amsterdam in 2016. Thanks to further development by Swiss engineers and timber specialists, this unique small home with high design standards is now ready for Switzerland and the entire Alpine region.
Living in a Wikkelhouse focuses on the essentials and connects back to traditional forms of building. It echoes the principle of compact living with everything you need, much like the traditional “Walliser Gaden” or the “Stöckli” (i.e. farmhouse annexes). At the same time, it offers modern, high-quality living standards without compromise.
